KIRK FRANKLIN'S SON PUBLICLY HANGS DIRTY LAUNDRY!

Kerrion, eldest son of Kirk Franklin, the 16 Grammy Award Gospel winner and one of the most popular Contemporary Gospel singer/songwriter in the world. There are very few people, if any at all; who do not know Kirk in the world of Gospel Music. Kerrion is his 33 year old son. Kirk and his son have often had a very tumultuous father-son relationship over the years. This is not surprisingly odd to many open minded people out there: feuds between fathers and their sons have been in existence since the beginning of the first human family. Kirk Franklin sired his son Kerrion, with Shawn Ewing some 32 years ago. The two have been co-parenting in raising their son together. Kirk married Tammy Collins in 1996 and have two children of their own, a son and a daughter while each had children with other partners/former lovers. Kirk brought Kerrion into this marriage while Tammy came with her eldest daughter.

Kirk Franklin like most famous people had his own share of scandals as witnessed in his bold 2005 interview with Oprah where he discussed his own battle with addiction to pornography and how he finally had a breakthrough over this bad habit. Rumours are doing rounds that Kirk and other popular Gospel artists were gays. There's no proof of this claim as yet.

In the past few days, Kerrion Franklin dropped a bombshell when he released the audio tape where he recorded his father cussing him and using all unpleasant words of unprintable expletives. Earlier in 2018 Kerrion publicly claimed his father was plotting to kill or have him killed. He's also claiming that his father is not the person the world think they know; he's also into cocaine. Outrageous.

After the audio altercation with his was leaked to the social media, Kirk called Kerrion's biological mother early in the morning and alerted her about his appearance in Tamron Hall's Show. I can't help but notice the crackling sound of sadness in Kirk's voice as he frankly tries to express his failure to raise his son, the best way he could. Like they say, it takes two to tango and sometimes people are unable to balance the obvious facts of the matter. Once it's in the public, the whole story gets twisted in a thousand ways and loses it's family value and becomes meaningless. Some things are not meant for public consumption: what happens within the family, stays inside the family, lock, stock and barrel. The public doesn't really care what happens to you and your family; though a few some would show some sympathy and even offer some moral support: the rest care less.

After Tamron Hall had this video out, Kerrion's biological mum decided to come through as well in support of Kirk Franklin and publicly rebuked her son for taking the higher ground. I don't care how bad your father can be, but going out like Kerrion did and publicly crucified his dad; is appalling. It's been an open secret that Kirk and his son were having a toxic relationship over the years but this is the lowest of low for Kerrion to throw dirt into his father's eyes. Kerrion at almost 33 years of age, is an adult who should be minding his own business somewhere working his own family instead of behaving like a teenage boy.

After reading some of the comments by viewers I can safely say that Shawn's presentation was well received by the majority and was praised to be a woman of class and high moral standards. I agree.

It's sad and disheartening to note that Kerrion Franklin did not respond positively to his biological parents but instead went ahead and released another segment of the audio taped bombshell. The guy has obviously declared war against his father and is not observing any family boundaries as it were. There's an old adage which goes: If angry count three, and when very angry, swear! It's in our nature as human beings to find ourselves swearing like drunken sailors when angered and feel treated unfairly. I do not believe there's a single human on the surface of this earth who never ever swears. 

I find myself swearing uncontrollably every time the power goes down due to Eskom's failure to supply South Africa with steady and reliable electricity. We've been subjected to load shedding for years without end and God knows just how much I swear and cuss Eskom when they cut off the power which turns our everyday lives into misery. God bless your heart and soul if you've never uttered a single vowel of expletive in your entire holy life. Bless your heart my sister and my brother.

Jesus made it even harder when He raised the standard far beyond our human reach and gave the new meaning to swearing under whose standard no one would qualify for Heaven if God used this to judge us. What did Jesus say regarding swearing or using expletives?

The father-son feuds have taken many lives away with them: there are millions of sad tragic ends where these altercations ended up in deaths. Legendary Marvin Gaye was shot to dead by his own father under similar circumstances. Just over a week ago, a father in my neighbourhood stabbed his almost fifty years old son to death. I am talking about someone I know personally and always have some good conversation with. A very peaceful man who was provoked by his adult son over the years and forced him to take restrictive court orders in order to keep him away but sadly; this guy confronted his father and for the last time he snapped and that was the end. After killing his son the man handed himself over to the police and confessed his crime. 

Given all the abusive history this man suffered at the hands of his own son and backed by all the court restraining orders; I believe the court will acquit him and rule this killing as self defence because the son was barred by law not to set foot in his house again. This man defied the court order and went ahead to provoke his already agitated father who vowed to have nothing to do with his estranged son right to his grave one day. I hope and pray he gets acquitted because he's the one who got attacked and had to defend himself. It is tragic for any father to look down at his son's grave knowing deep down in his condemned heart he authored this sad and teary grave. I can't wish this even for my worst enemies.

I am forever grateful to God for the peace I share with my young son Zuko; we've had our ups and downs but neither one of us ever crosses the moral border which guarantees our solid fellowship enabling us to avoid dangerous feuds. Zuko is my only son and God knows just how much I value him in the heart of my hearts in fact; my whole world depends on his success. I'd give him the world if I could afford it and he knows just how much I love him. It's imperative for all fathers to tell their sons just how much they love them because sons are our DNA extensions into our endless future: we live through them beyond our graves. Kirk Franklin like all sober fathers of the world understands this and I understand just how bad he feels disappointed and devastated at the ugly turn of events with his son. It's painful. I pray for Kirk and his son.

I pray for all the fathers of the world with sons, for God to give them the grace to realize peace in their relationship with them. I pray He grants them wisdom to know what to say, when to retreat and to know the difference between dangerous anger and safe fatherly rebuke whenever they get engaged in incessant feuds with their sons. I pray for you all and for myself. Let father-son peace rule in the world. I don't care whether you're Christian, Muslim or Gnostic. You don't need religion to be a father to your son!
