MEMORIES LAST FOREVER!

MEMORIES LAST FOREVER!

A boy’s Life is usually lived in isolation even though he may be surrounded by hundred other boys almost all of the time. Boys like to play, laugh together and talk all about Life we haven’t seen unfolding yet.

We dreamt together and saw the World waiting like a Quiet Forest to be conquered. Playing football and different games, felt like forever. Our days were longer than days in Adult World!

I remember so vividly, how I used to stand on top of the mountain as a young boy and look down upon my Beautiful Village in Ladysmith. It sure felt so good.

Watching people and animals walking in syncopation with Life, what a Beautiful and Awesome Sight it was! I was surrounded by Life and feared nothing.

I cannot begin to tell you, just how the Heavens used to scare me. Thick black clouds would gather over the Drakensberg Mountains in split seconds. Rain mixed with strong winds would come upon us so fast: as we hurried our livestock back to the Pens.

The calmness and the Peace which flowed through my heart and mind was worth a million. O’ God, how I wish this feeling of being Secured and Wrapped inside Mother Nature’s loving arms lasted forever. I’d give the World back to God if I could roll back the Hands of Time once more!

As a young boy, I even felt this incredible connection with our livestock. Sometimes, I’d talk to our cows inside the Pen as I sat on top of this rocky hedge. Strangely, these animals got used to my voice as I continued to chat with them.

Looking Back all my Horizons Past, I thank God for all the Memories which still keep me awake in the darkest night as I Reminisce at just how things could have been had I been told Life Passes Through Time.

Memories Last Forever! It is such a pity that our Life doesn’t always linger long enough to Dream about our Past. Truly relish and relive all the Wonderful Moments gone by!

It is hard to find enough time in my Adult Life; to look back over my shoulders and playback in slow motion all the Beautiful Moments I had with Nature.

Even now as I write these Memoirs, I feel I won’t have time enough to tell you about how good it was to go hunting and fishing during school holidays.

I’m still bewildered by God, how He made my hunting stick miss, while spinning in its fiercest velocity after I’d thrown it at the flock of hundreds of birds on the fields. Had God blinked once in a while, I believe I’d have hit twenty a time.

Girls, Girls… Boys and Girls are water and oil, they do not mix well. We’d play chase with them and enjoy their unique giggling while it lasted.

Our plays often ended abruptly every time a single girl got upset: the rest would rally around her and chase us away! Memories, Memories Last Forever..
