JUST LIKE THAT!
SABBATICAL MAY...
Just Like That!
Ever wondered why a good moment never last long? Have
you any idea why some people change their minds and opinions in record zero to fifteen
second dash?
I sat inside the mall minding my business in peace and quiet when
suddenly a very large crowd of frightened shoppers came running through.
I remained patched onto my bench since by nature I just
don’t panic in the eye of danger. A guard with a money bag and all guns drawn drifted
past me shooting at the robbers.
In a split second I realized this was an attempted robbery
happening in real time. I calmly stood up as if there was no threat of imminent
danger around me.
Just like that. I found myself walking through the
corridors of an empty mall with all shops closed.
All the fleeing shoppers had locked themselves inside the toilets!
Just like that! Sometimes it’s very hard to make a
quick sense of all the rough and dangerous situation developing around me.
Just like that! I still can’t understand why fear never grabs me like
it does the rest of the people equally exposed to the same danger.
For some unknown reasons, fear always come to me through
the way of understanding in the aftermath.
Just like that! I am never scared nor moved by any sudden rush of
fear arising all around me. I am what I am!
Just like that! In all my life as a citizen of the
global earth; it’s still pretty hard to find a bunch of people I can truly
identify with as close friends!.
Just like that! They told me, birds of the same feather flock
together. And why just why...is it hard
for this bird to find the same feathered friends in a world filled with eight
billion souls?
Just like that! I believe a large portion of the
world’s population still have a hard task of learning, adjust and accept the
fact that ours is a world of people from all walks of life.
Nobody has any right to decide who is more righteous and stand qualified
as global citizens.
Just like that! I cannot understand all the hatred
directed towards the LGBTQ groups.
The so-called christian nationalists feel it’s their God appointed
duty to destroy everyone whose lifestyles they deem offensive and threatening
to their holier-than-thou pharisaical attitude inside their tiny bubbles.
Just like that! My Bible says the Earth is the Lord’s and
all of its citizens: sinners and saints all belong to God!
Many radicalized zealots believe they can just wipe the earth clean
of all the minority groups they consider to be sub-human through hatred in
their zealous standards.
Just like that! It will help a great deal for
misguided souls if we could just accept it when the Scriptures said.. For God
so loved the world: it was all inclusive of people from all walks of life!
God had the LGBTQ, transgender, racists, rapists, murderers,
robbers, adulterers and all kinds of sins and unrighteousness in the world!
Just like that! We’d enjoy our life at the worst of
times only after accepting this world we live in, is a Shared Enterprise for individuals
from all walks of life.
Just like that! My friend, my enemy and enemies of my friends are
still my neighbours because together, we are the world!
Just like that! Peace in the world is not a right but
a virtue we must all desire to possess!
