TRIBUTE TO MY BELOVED MOTHER!

 TRIBUTE TO MY BELOVED MOTHER!

Conceived and Born into this world during World War 2 and exited into God’s Rest during a Pandemic: Delta was a shining star perched between two darkest nights.

Growing up during the most difficult time in history: she remained true to her name by channeling love through her dazzling smile and ever glowing presence.

Her calmness: her electrifying poise and soothing demeanour attracted many friends who saw and found in her a pillar and a forte to run to in their time of need.

She loved and welcomed everyone crossing her path and always knew when to withdraw peacefully and silently when confronted by haters who misconstrued her noble intentions.

After growing up without a mother from my tender age I never knew that falling for her daughter as a young man could lead me straight into embracing motherly arms.

Oh, for the love she gave to me constantly without reserve God recreated the world I missed out on in my childhood By giving me a Mother who loved me like a rock.

God forbid, how in the world can I forget my Delta, my Mother: who was lowered into my heart by God. She loved me in every way and never spared a cent whenever I was in need.

There was a time when I was without a job: my beautiful Mother, bought groceries for us every single month without expecting anything back.

How can I forget her? Even after my marriage with her daughter came to a crashing end: Delta continued to love and embraced me like her only son: I was loved.

Sometimes, I sit back and tried so hard to find an indifferent facial expression from her ever-smiling face: and found non! I have never seen her angry face once in my life.

Delta was my heartbeat and a breath of fresh air: God cloned my departed mother in her gracious personality: I saw and felt the presence of my late biological mother in her.

“Syd, when are you coming to see me again?” she’d complained every time I’d disappeared for a while. Only God knows, just how much I miss her smile and her all-embracing love! Sometimes I tear-up when her memories overwhelm me!

There’s no power strong enough to delete her from my heart and soul her priceless smile, sweet voice and ageless memories will carry me through all the storms and help me soar above the pain of missing her.

My Mother has returned to her original form and state of being she cannot hear nor speak for herself, just like she was as a baby and these tears I cry today are a testament of her true love.

Neither Death nor Grave has power enough to decimate this love and strong bond we shared And her face shines through bolder than her gravestone. I’m glad that I told her just how much I loved her at every chance.

I need you all to help me please: rock her to sleep one more time as we lower her body inside her eternal cradle where we all come from.

Rest on the bosom of Father Abraham my Dearest Mother: your smiles, laughs and unconditional love you gave me:

will forever carry me forward as I press on towards your ever shining star beckoning me to finally meet and reunite with you one day!

Fly away my loving Mother, away from this world of pain into Beulah Land! I miss you, always!
