BEHOLD MY MOTHER AND MY BRETHREN!

BEHOLD MY MOTHER AND MY BRETHREN!

Therefore, the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call His Name Immanuel.

It's hard to believe that the Prophet Isaiah pronounced these incredible prophetic words some 700 years before the Birth of Christ, in the humble town of Bethlehem. Many people do not understand that more often than not: these Prophets never had a clue of all the utterances the Spirit gave them.

Like our tongues, they speak out at the direction of our brains and hearts: it's not up to them to figure out what's coming out! The Spirit spoke through the Prophets.

But thou, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall He come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. Prophesied Micah.

Behold my Mother and my Brethren! It took Jesus the Son of God more than 1500 years to be able to say these fond words about His earthly family. Incredible for God to call a mortal like Maria: His Mother. Hello World, God is One of us: He's landed to our earthly shores! Behold my Mother and my Brethren!

His brethren therefore said unto Him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest. For there is no man that does anything in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world. For neither did His brethren believe in Him.

Jesus's Brothers did not believe in Him at the beginning of His Ministry: they thought He was crazy even though they knew He was different from them. His Brethren witnessed the Power Jesus had, hence they challenged Him to go to Judaea. Jesus's Brethren did not believe in Him and more often, were embarrassed to appear with Him in public. On the contrary, Jesus was proud of His earthly family.

Prior to this meeting with His Brethren, the Religious Leaders had threatened to kill Him if Jesus continued to preach His foreign Gospel. It’d be silly of me to think that Jesus took their threats seriously and was afraid to go up to Judaea and attend the Feast of Tabernacles. He wasn’t. Perhaps, His Brethren advised Him to attend in order to test His own convictions about His Purpose on Earth: so, they tempted Him. Nevertheless, Jesus did go to the Feast of Tabernacles albeit in disguise since He told Himself He was not going to preach.

But then, the Spirit came over Him and He forgot all about His unconventional disguise. Jesus preached Fire from Heaven that even the officers the Pharisees had hired to arrest Him got under conviction by His profound words. Never man spake like this man: they told the Pharisees!

Who is my mother and my brethren? Jesus asked. But everyone who does the will of my Father: the same shall be my brother, my sister and my mother.

Behold My Mother and My Brethren: Jesus introduced His Disciples to His family. In the Beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God, and the Word became flesh. Rejoice, God is One of us..
