JOB: THE EPITOME OF HUMAN SUFFERINGS!

JOB, THE EPITOME OF HUMAN SUFFERINGS!

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

The land of Uz is often associated with the land of Edom, which was just yonder the Euphrates River, one of the main rivers which watered and beautified the Garden of Eden. There isn't much historical background on the life of Job, the man who eschewed evil and feared God every single day of his life.

The Book of Job is regarded as one of the oldest Transcripts of the Holy Bible. Bible scholars also believe that Job was the fourth or fifth generation after Father Abraham. But, most importantly, Job was famously known for his fear and love for God: exactly the way he was described in the very first verse.

Job, The Epitome Of Human Sufferings: no persons dead or alive today had suffered more than Job did! The LORD gave Satan power over everything Job owned but he could not touch Job’s heart and soul!

Earthly possessions, money and power are only material and never add an iota of God’s Fear in a man’s heart. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his soul? Job, The Epitome Of Human Sufferings.

His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the East.

If you compare the value of all his assets using US dollars: Job was a Billionaire without a doubt. He was a Billionaire who feared God through and through! Job feared and loved God more than his earthly possessions!

But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the Presence of the LORD.

Job’s Calamities and Losses were staggering. His oxen and asses were stolen by the Sabaeans, and they murdered all his servants saving one that escaped. All his sheep and servants were killed by strange lightning. His sons and daughters were killed by a tornado. Job virtually lost everything he had materially, including his dear children.

Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return hither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. So went Satan forth from the Presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.

Job’s wife asked him why he’s still praying to God. Why don’t you just curse God and die? Curse God and die, the same spirit working in the mind of the wicked today! Man forgets that when he dies his soul falls straight into God’s hands unreconciled with Him.

Job’s three friends visited him after hearing about his sufferings: they moaned with him for seven days and after that, they spent all their time condemning Job and question his standing with God. Put iniquity far away: they mocked him!

And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before. So the LORD blessed the latter of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand she asses.

He had also seven sons and three daughters. And in all the land were no women found so beautiful as the daughters of Job. After this lived Job a hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons’ sons, even four generations. So Job died, being old and full of days.
