THE FINISH LINE!

The Finish Line!

Believe it or not, life begins and ends up with a race. Our days on Earth have been predetermined by God. Most people would celebrate their sunset and sunrise as if it were their last moments and day in this world if they knew this secret!

Breathing in and out, will not be taken for granted, we can learn a lot from those among us who suffer from asthma! There is wisdom in learning to count our lucky stars because every single day added by the hands of time: counts for blessings from God Above.

Our life on Earth is a miracle right at the moment of conception. This is the same impact Mother Nature expects us to approach all the challenges we face and encounter daily. Changes in our lives, whether good or bad; serve to remind us of the incredible nine-month journey of tossing and turning inside our mothers’ womb it took to land on these earthly shores.

Life is a finish line from conception to birth. Life is a race from the cradle to the grave. We’d have been more prepared and focused if these traits and tendencies to appreciate life were guaranteed like growing teeth in our once gummy jaws. But alas, our survival antics are supposed to be learned as we grow older.

We had to learn how to crawl even before we could stand up. It’s impossible for one to run before they learned to walk. Life is made up of tedious stages which are staggered in their natural successive order. I’m still baffled by how wisdom gathers speed as one matures into age.

This then explains why acquiring knowledge always precedes wisdom since the latter is the application of the former. Knowledge more often than not, always increases our grasp of common sense without which no one can survive in this world of seven billion souls! Wisdom serves to remind us of all the things we were schooled in.

Common sense ensures our survival and shared right to respect all life forms including our common duty to regard our fellow men and nature which helps us to breathe in and out!

Life is a finish line from conception to birth. Life is a race from the cradle to the grave. Lessons learned are often realized after we bashed our heads against them walls, and after ignoring the red light flashed in our brains by wisdom. Our abject failure to apply knowledge in the nick of time.

No one can determine the safe speed needed to ensure our safest finish line. It’s always humanly impossible to determine one’s remaining steps before that individual reaches their finish line. This is the moment where we breathe our last and when our day on Earth is done.

We labour from conception to birth and from birth to our graves. Time is the total number of days we spent breathing under the sun. Of course, many people out there almost hate this inevitable reality of having to reckon with reaching their finish line one day. I would not be bothered to think this way since my own life was captured and limited to this 24-hour capsule of life God locked us in!

Life is a finish line from conception to birth. Life is a race from the cradle to the grave. We dream to live and survive in a world where dog eats dog. The race is not according to the swift, says my Bible!

Life is a finish line from conception to birth. Life is a race from the cradle to the grave. At the end of your day, because God counts or sums up your life on Earth as one day. The dust shall return to dust where it came from; and the spirit shall return to God who gave it!

What shall your answer be when God demands: What did you do with your life on earth: and what did you do with Jesus? Show me your wounds? When you get to hear these eternal words from God, be reminded that you’ve now entered your unlimited Sphere of Eternity.

This is God’s Domain where Time has no bearing over your life, why? Because it’s the Restricted Area of God where only purified souls are allowed into everlasting life with God! The end of the finish line in the Hereafter.

At the beginning of my life, my champion sperm raced and won against millions others; caught up and frolicked with the fancied runway egg. At the end of my race, I sadly reach my finish line alone at death! This is life defined and designed after God’s image.

Life is a finish line from conception to birth. Life is a race from the cradle to the grave. So, teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom! LORD, we pray...
