IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THIS!

It All Comes Down To This!

My life began with oohs and arghs of passionate pleasure between my father and mother. Sunshine from above instantly enveloped the very first seconds my life’s DNA was configured and encrypted inside the tiny blob of my being.

Our life begins at dawn, in the dead of the night and just minutes away into sunrise and folds up at sunset as our lifespan’s energy begins to ebb away. This is the height and the twilight of our lives on earth.

It all comes down to this… every heartbeat has the beginning and the end. Why do we always tend to get high with the pleasures of being alive and kicking while forgetting to realize that our diminishing energy corrodes our limited time on earth?

Sometimes our lives become so good and excitedly beautiful till we wake up late from our deep sleep in the last minutes!

The value of time becomes insignificant and eventually gets observed like some distant stars in our oblivious universe.

Well, it really does not matter to waste a few minutes in our 12-hour day. After all, I can always claw back and repay all the time lost.

It all comes down to this… when are we going to learn, that there are no reverse gears provided to redeem all the time lost in our lives?

We observe days, weeks, months and years in our lives but, dismally fail to bow under the arms of time.

Our clocks on the wall just become part of the furniture which never register real time spent in our clock of life.

It all comes down to this. Last midnight I just celebrated the new year and thanked God for the painful journey traversed in 2022.

I have no idea just how this new year will pan out. Turbulences with all the challenges and endless trepidations in this maze of our carefree world, are all included in this packaging dated 2023.

It all comes down to this… time ain’t got no time to afford me the nonexistent extra minutes lost in my rush hour of confusion. Every second and minute lost, shall never be regained: no matter how hard we try!

Even now as I write these memoirs, I lost valuable minutes while talking to my neighbourly friends. Time just winked at me and passed by with glee as we stood on the street.

Hey you! Sydney, follow me immediately or risk losing all these great thoughts circling your mind now.

It all comes down to this… thoughts and words, like lightning, they disappear in a flash. Once gone, they’re harder to recall like fast moving sweet dreams.

It all comes down to this… after all the myriad of new year’s resolutions entered inside the to-do-list by billions of people. Barely 1% of these billions ever care to revisit their failed and misplaced resolutions.

It all comes down to this… new year’s resolutions are nothing but empty words written in sands. They disappear as soon as the oath taker turns their backs into the mysterious horizon of life laying ahead. It all comes down to this!

People buy new gym contracts hoping to get down and reduce fats in their ballooning bodies.

It all comes down to this, twelve months later the same individuals have dismally failed to stick to their exercise regimen.

It all comes down to the mirror laughing at you… See, I warned you daily about your blossoming weight?

It all comes down to this… Now, you’ve learned that your gym debit orders cannot drag you to the gym. It all comes down to this.

Everybody can afford just about everything but time… even though time does not cost a penny, we all fall flat in keeping up with it.

It all comes down to this.. Sad people we are. It all comes down to this.

After years of failing to use our diaries kept under our armpits… sad but true, it’s still not easy to master this age old habit even though armed with advanced digital diaries locked inside our cellphones, cars, TVs and computers!

It all comes down to this… new year’s resolutions ceased to be the buzzword decades ago.

Pardon me… I still have 364 days just to fulfill the only item in my diary entered some ten years ago… to finish my first book! It all comes down to this.

It all comes down to this… life is great and sometimes, life is hard! I hope and pray by remaining steadfast in the faith. Sometimes I win and sometimes I lose.

It all comes down to this.. no matter how things turn up, I still feel the same sunshine, walk under the same moon and stars. The rain still falls upon my head like it does the rest of God’s creation!

It all comes down to this. Later in December, I’d still be looking through the same keyhole. For sure, it will all come down to this.
