BUT JONAH... GOD'S FUGITIVE!
But Jonah... God’s Fugitive!
Now the Word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying:
Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against
it for their wickedness is come up before me.
But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the
LORD, and went down to Joppa.
But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea. And
there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.
As you can see from these verses just how God counters man’s
rebellious nature.
God sent Jonah to Mosul in Iraq but the Fugitive ran
to Lebanon. Mosul was more than 1000 km away from Jerusalem and Lebanon some
500 km.
It felt perfectly normal for fugitive Jonah to disobey God and snubbed
God’s Command, disobey His will.
But Jonah... God’s Fugitive. His rebellion against God caused unnecessary losses for this
commercial ship.
Poor marines had to dump into the sea 50% of their cargo worth
millions because of Jonah’s rebellion. And where was the Fugitive?
Dozing and snoring peacefully inside the bunker below,
dreaming in a perfect storm!
The ship’s captain kicked Jonah to wake him up. We are dying! What manner
of man are you to sleep right inside the eye of the storm?
Come on and come up, stranger! Pray to your God to
save our lives and ship. We have already cried everyone to their gods, and yet this
storm continues unabated and threatens the ship.
Oh Pardon me! The One True God I tried to runaway from is right
inside this storm, I am God’s Fugitive!
If you dispose me into the waters this storm will stop
immediately!
The crew said a prayer to Jonah’s God, picked him up and cast Jonah
to the sea. Wow! Peace at last!
But Jonah... God’s Fugitive! God wasn’t finished with
His rebellious Prophet, and made ready the whale to swallow Jonah whole!
In a flash and right inside the same midnight hour, the fish
carried Jonah for three days and three nights, vomited him to the shores of Nineveh!
What a Mighty God we serve! Even whales obey His
commands!
But Jonah... God’s Fugitive. Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city,
and cry against it for their wickedness is come up before me.
Incredible but true, Jonah cried to God right inside
the belly of the fish.
God heard his cries and forgave him. Three days later the Fugitive found
himself in Nineveh.
Forty days, the people of this great city have to Repent
or else the Lord God, will destroy Nineveh!
Jonah cried and Preached the Gospel moments he entered this great
city!
But Jonah... God’s Fugitive! To his surprise, the king
and his people repented, fasted... covered themselves and their animals with
ashes and sackcloths.
And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and
God repented of the evil, that He had said that He would do unto them; and He
did it not.
But Jonah... God’s Fugitive was displeased and very
angry! You see, Prophet Jonah did not believe his own Gospel.
Jonah’s attitude did not bother God cause every single word Jonah uttered
belonged to God!
And He
said unto them, Go ye into all the World, and Preach the Gospel to every
creature.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be Saved; but he that
believeth not shall be Damned.
Jesus commanded His Apostles and today’s Church to
Preach the Gospel! But what do we see?
Instead of Preaching...For God so loved the World that He gave His
only Begotten Son!
Christians are busy fighting for political powers and
castigating people for their gender preferences!
In the beginning God did not create Adam and Steve! God qualifies
the unqualified! Is this the Gospel?
This is all the gibberish nonsense coming from all the
pulpits around the World!
Hello carnal Christians! Fighting against the LGBTQIA Groups is not
part of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
But Jonah... God’s Fugitive! Just Preach Christ
Crucified and leave everything else to God!
Apart from revealing what would happen to Christ 700 years later,
like sleeping inside the storm and the three days before Resurrection.
Jonah’s story is about saying what God wants the World
must hear!
Come on now! Stop blabbing motivational nonsense of TD Jakes and
start Preaching the Gospel and Only Christ Crucified!
What is the Gospel? In case you didn’t know, the
Gospel is Preaching Christ Crucified and nothing more or less!
Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man
cometh unto the Father, but by Me.
For though I Preach the Gospel, I have nothing to
glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, Woe is unto me, if I Preach Not
the Gospel!
For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against
my will, a Dispensation of the Gospel is committed unto me.
The Great Apostle said these immortal words!
