THIS WAS ME!

This Was Me!

Looking back over my shoulders, I could see my past life zigzagging endlessly into my horizons.

Unbelievable but true, I sprayed my unique odour and body scent assigned to me by Mother Nature like my exclusive fingerprints.

I’ve been there and was there and can’t deny it... My heart and mind remember just as I was back then.

Like a compelling crime scene littered with fingerprints, blood spats and my irrefutable DNA... complete with my footprints and retraceable shadows.

Easy now. This ain’t no crime scene as in the breaking law but just a moral downslope and momentary slip.

If you don’t mind, just sit back and give me space and a minute to explain myself.

You know sometimes it is very difficult to penetrate the mind of a man, no matter how hard they honestly try to paint their picture to the outsider.

This was me. Please tell me how long does it take for a man to recognize his own face?

What about hearing his voice played back to him as evidence!

Life is a journey and endless spin to nowhere. Every day since my youth days, I have been pulling blinds every morning... hoping to see a new day!

I’d be lying to you if I said, yes indeed.. I have seen better days in my life under the sun.

I would if I could know the meaning of better days.

Pardon me Sir. I have nothing to compare all my yesterdays today!

This was me. One day mourners will gather around my grave, shake their heads in agreement and say.. this was the man.

This was me. In a blink of an eye and inside my final breath this side of life: suddenly, everyone remembers me in a past tense!

How I wish I could wake up each morning feeling greater than great!

This was me and this is me as always I will be and shall be even in my grave and yonder.

You’ve got to learn to separate the spirit of man from his decadent flesh and bones.

Yes I am and still the same person most people have written off in their to-do-lists.

Still remember me?

Hey Sydney! Is that you? Are you still alive and where have you been?

Sometimes people act strangely as if they never want to see you alive!

What a pity!

This was me! This is me just as I was in my teen years.

This was me! Where’s your family?

Hello. What about?

I was born alone into this world and shall die lonely as I came in!

Every breath, each heartbeat and a blinking eye... is me!

Come on closer... and feel me

This was me... This is me!
