Forever Young!

Life, like dedicated football players doing their best to impress the coach: just like God at birth gently tapping your head and said, Go for it and give it your best!

Can you see all these vast fields? They are yours for the taking, run, jump and roll all you can: have fun.

This was the time when I was new to the world and the world was new to me. We embraced each other and this beautiful world promised to be always there for me, no matter what!

What guarantees can you give to me for our lifelong friendship, I asked?

You can rest assured I am always there for you, every time you breathe; I pledge you, my atmosphere.

I pledge you all the sunshine you will ever need to brighten up your day. The stars will always be above your head to light up your darkest nights.

Every time you lift your eyes towards the heavens at night, the moon will be smiling down on you, to remind you about your seasons!

Forever young! More than just a feeling, we owe to our favourable surroundings or circumstances: it is forever anchored in our soul and never ends till we breathe our last. Remember, this is why we cry at birth; it was all too good and overwhelmingly so!

O God, I am so excited to learn the truth that the very first tears we cried at birth were tears of joy! After a baby is born, their heart beats faster than a second, trying to catch up with time. Time, which has been marching and steaming ahead for eternities!

Trying to catch up with time is nothing but fruitless attempts to catch up with God. Time is God. For as long as I can breathe under the sun and continue to recognize the beauty this world promised, surrounding me: I know for sure, time is still on my side.

Forever young! Like the first drops of rain, falling all over my body after a long unbearable winter season. O what a feeling!  No words can simplify this amazing reunion into common sense.

The say, life is a give and take situation, but I have yet to live long enough to meet a single person that has ever given anything back to life.

There is nobody in this world wealthy enough to pay back for a single pull of breath under the sun.

Forever young! This is me confusing my aging body against this ageless world. Hey, everything this beautiful world promised me, is still out there and available in abundance.

What happened to all the feelings of excitement you felt at birth?

Hello. This feeling never ceases nor fades into nothingness, it stays with me all the way: for better or worse. Wow! I am forever married to life because life never left me, not even in death. This is the reason we continue to live when we die!

Forever young! Never mind this aging body, short steps and slurs in my speech; the person on the inside is very much alive.

Forever young. I entered this world with fanfares, and I am going to exit it with the warmest smile ever seen. Yes, this is me, giving back to life what life gave me. I am truly grateful!

Excuse me, if you don’t mind? I need an hour or two to do my road workouts!

Stay young and never ever, look back!

THESE STREETS!

These Streets! One cannot forget these intimidating up and down stares furiously targeting the good citizens of this town. Who are these people, these faceless bullies and where did they come from? We used to fill and occupy these streets from corner to corner and screamed all day long as kids. Hey. We feared nothing at all because these streets belonged to us. We will not allow our streets to be deserted in broad daylight as if we’re back to pandemic days! My mother and father were born and met on these streets. I lived under their shadows after they introduced me to these same streets. I grew up on these streets, I know and speak the language of these streets and unreservedly own these streets. These streets gifted me my place in the sun and all the wokeness that comes with my birthright. ARE WE THERE YET!

  Are We There Yet! But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in Heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. I can still vividly remember, how people in South Africa were outraged and incensed after a baby of six months was brutally raped. I was seething and frothing with unimaginable revenge and pure hatred for that evil man who had raped the helpless baby! This was back in the late nineties. O’ for the pain we all felt in our hearts, for this evil which we had never heard of before! There is something strange about human nature. Shocking!   How soon do we accommodate evil and brush it off when it happens on a rebound? This is the reason it is always impossible for man to eschew evil because our very frame of our being is rooted way deep inside the vestiges of evil.
