Nothing Guaranteed!
Life… like gambling, is a game of chance. Sometimes you win, and at the worst of times: you keep on losing right down to your grave!
Millions upon millions of books have been written down the memory lane… But it’s as hard as looking for a needle in a haystack… searching for life’s meaning.
Life in this world filled with life-giving oxygen is nothing but a theatre of dreams… where different actors give their best from the cradle to the grave!
This explains the reasons why as babies, we are more curious than at any stage of our lives.
Touching, looking, biting, and even use our tongues to taste anything that looks like food!
Nothing defies logic than a curious baby… these guys follow and chase anything that moves.
Strange but true! Our degree of fear increases proportionally to the level of the knowledge accumulated over a period of time.
The more we know about this life, the more we fear and so is the sharp rise of our anxiety.
Anxiety is nothing but a disease of the well informed… people who not only anticipate evil and doom but assimilate it even before it takes place.
Knowledge is power, I heard this idiom repeated over and over in my life since the first day I graduated from baby talk.
With it, comes a high pitch and fever of fear for the unknowns.
All I’m trying to say to you… is that there is nothing guaranteed in this life!
Our lives are nothing but moving disappearing shadows… according to the Gospel of Job!
Wow, did you notice how happy and excited John was today?
One day and a devastating telephone call later… Hello, we’re sad to inform you about the sudden passing of your dear friend, John!
Gosh, what a sad loss! The man was so full of life and out of the blue… died in his sleep!
Nothing guaranteed is what every soul should be thinking about every sunrise and to the going down of the same.
Having 101% rating after your BMI… is no guarantee that you will live up to the next phase of the moon.
We live to survive and survive to live. Even my dearest heartbeat cannot guarantee me another 24 hours of bliss!

For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof fillet, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.
If riches were an end to the means and can guarantee life longevity… there’d be more rich people in this world than the poor!
Nothing guaranteed is a reminder to always do your own background checks…
Sweep around your own front door and leave other people’s business alone.
You really do not have to be bothered by what I’m saying or thinking in these Pages of Life.
This is me, Pikelela having a conversation with himself, by himself, and for my own sake!

Like every man who had ambitions of his own just like that curious baby I once was.
Got education, got a job and fell in love. Got married and had children of my own. As good as gambling, this old life left me with no guarantees.
I famously entered into this world with the widest smiles and got smacked and humbled with a bloodied nose!
Nothing guaranteed.
Looking back over my shoulders, I can see nothing but my forlorn shadow!
Where are all my guarantees for my education, my love and my marriage? What happened to the children of my loins?
Have I gone berserk or had been chasing the tail I do not have… like that dog in a tizzy endless spin.
Nothing guaranteed.
Even that poor dog chasing its own tail can be forgiven or even applauded for trying to do the impossible!
What about me and my endless spins to nowhere?
Why suddenly, this loud world which once captivated me as a boy, became so empty and deafening quiet?
Again, forgive me for causing you to eavesdrop and take a wild stare at my unguaranteed life.
You and I simply bump to each other at the crossroads of life.
