BACK IN THE DAY!

Back In The Day!

A day is a heartbeat, a blink of an eye and a moment of whatever reminds us of and keeps us lively.

A day is a single step taken forward or backwards. We walk and live in circles. Every time we find ourselves in a different landscape, we think and believe we are gone!

Only to find ourselves back in the same spot where it all started. We hurry up, run, drive at a high speed, and even take off and fly away!

Just to feel that adrenaline of freedom of having escaped from our demons which haunt us daily.

Back In the day is nothing more than a second, a minute, an hour later or even a day to years ago.

We always find comfort in everybody and everything we thought was kind and good to us.

Forgetting all the nemesis which hog and invade our private space is a perpetual dream which evades us right to the grave!

We do whatever it takes as opium to help us switch off our minds from our past of pain and sorrows. Somehow, this temporary suspension of our painful memories feels better than sitting back, having faith, and taking courage in what lies ahead.

They say the grass is always greener on the other side. Nobody believes this anymore!

Back in the day is nothing but our life lived inside out. What we always say in jest is the real root of the problem of what goes wrong on the inside.

It is always impossible for our mouths to pronounce what the mind has not sanctioned and processed. Every time we open our mouths; it is our mind talking.

I dare you to look in the mirror and try to laugh with your heart loaded with pain and sadness of not getting all the things you believe are due to you under the sun!

Back in the day, another sad opportunity for one generation to blame another. People in my generation never did this or that! What happened to the posterity of one generation handing the baton of wisdom to the generation behind?

I do not know about everybody else; this is Pikelela talking now.

While locked inside the womb, our undeveloped mind is eager to go, looking forward to facing this unknown world of pain and sorrows. But once we get used to the rhythm of life, we tend to be all jitters and suddenly develop strange stammers of doubt and uncertainty.

Back in the day! Once my lost world used to be so gigantic and I could complete a thousand errands in just one day. Today, looking out the windows in the morning draws a disheartening blank of living alone in a world filled with eight billion souls.

Hey, what happened to all my neighbours and friends who used to fill every page of my life?

Hello. Am I alive or dead, do I still have a name? I do. Then why is no one calling my number?

Back in the day to me, is always the present or the day it was yesterday soon to become my future. God has locked all my future inside my dreams!

Every time I look around on any day, my dream memories always kick in and remind me; you have seen this day before! Why are my thoughts so familiar with these surroundings? Can you decode this Conundrum of life for me?

Back in the day! Different strokes for different folks. Ever noticed how strange it is for a crowd of people to witness the same scenery and yet interpret it in one thousand diverse ways?

I therefore put it to you that seeing is not always believing! Why do we argue about the same thing which we all saw happening right under our nose? Scratching my head is the only best thing to do, since there will be no real answers coming from all sides.

Back in the day, is This Man, myself and I locked up within the prison of my own thoughts and my lost world which I will never regain!

This life in this forlorn world would be downright boring without listening to storytellers who keep us awake from daydreaming!

Back in the day, is always now and today, while your heart is beating and ceases to be after you took your last breath.

Back in the day, is me lost in my Invisible Castle of Thoughts and Words! Hello.
