I Am A Palestinian Child! For nine long months my mother carried and nurtured me inside her blessed womb. Like all unborn babies I kept playing, twisting and turning in my aqueous world. Without fear or care to whatever was happening around in my mother’s world. I was happy! They say the odds for anyone of us to be born into this world are one in half a billion. I was the one in a billion to make it to my mother’s womb. For nine long months I remain oblivious to the cruel world which awaited me with bated breath! Then one day, the alarm bells went off and my mother went into labour for my imminent arrival. It was the biggest day for my parents and grandparents. Being born and growing up in Gaza and one of the most crowded places on Earth isn’t any baby’s wish. For some reasons stemming from the frightening sounds I used to get every time a gun was fired or from whistling missiles!
