TO ALL MY DEPARTED SISTERS!
To All My Departed Sisters!
When I was born there were four big sisters waiting at
the helm to receive and welcome me.
Most babies are not so lucky... to be waited upon by four
loving and dedicated matrons at their birth.
It fills this old and tired heart of mine with sweet
memories to know that all my sisters were all smiles and excited about my
arrival.
To All My Four Loving Sisters.. here’s a big up to you.
Thank you for all the love and the utmost care you gave to me as a baby and
throughout my childhood!
You took care of this boy and showed me around the
corridors of life! Where would I be today without your cheerful smiles and
loving eyes?
To My Departed Sisters... Zodwa, Makhulu and Lala! I miss you from
the bottom of my heart.
You girls gave me love and cared for this heart of
mine. You became my hope and security when Mom left me for Heaven at eight
years old!
To Maureen my Living Legend and the only surviving big sister...
You know my heart beats for you every second.
I thank God for keeping you around for all these
years. You are my past and present in slow motion. I love you so dearly my big
Sis!
God, in His Divine ways decided that my life would not be complete
without my four angels Mom left me with!
To All My Departed Three Sisters. Unbelievably surreal,
your distinct sweet voices still ring true inside this heart of mine. Even Time
can’t change this!
Zodwa. Your sunset sweet voice is still calling me from the depths
of my sweet memories with you.
Makhulu. How can I forget your chirping but incisive inside
a whimper voice? Yours was the loudest after the two had passed on!
Lala. You were the youngest of the four sisters and imbued with so
much talents. Your melancholic and stupendous voice, is forever anchored in my
heart and soul.
Wow. I see all your beautiful faces and unfading
smiles as one gigantic scoop of love from a dessert dish of Heaven.
I smell all the beautiful flowers and roses all around me every
time I reminisce about all our yesterdays of yesteryears!
To All My Departed Sisters. I am one of the few baby
brothers in the world: no qualms and no beef at all with my big sisters.
I would if I could! Truth be told, there are no painful memories in
my heart except your soft and loving footprints.
These are the same footprints which I will follow to
my grave one day to help me spring into the Hereafter.
I’m alive today because God used and prepared your lives for my red
carpet long before my arrival.
To All My Three Departed Angels. My eyes well up with
tears of joy, every time I recall all the gripping and exciting stories you
told us around the fireplace in the evenings.
O’ God! What more can I say about all the raucous laughter which
followed every stomach-cramping joke?
Ours was a Big but very Happy Family! We had all the
love we needed after the early passing of our parents.
To All My Departed Sisters. I was never lonely because you were
always there for me.
I felt Mama’s presence every time you embraced me!
My Departed Sisters joined the Galactic Cosmos beyond the Blue!
My eclectic Zodwa and my Rigel Star! My humble Makhulu
and one Supergiant Star!
Last but not least. My vivacious Lala and Neutron Star!
I was Blessed to have you for my Sisters....
