THE EMPTY ROOM!

The Empty Room!

I always find it shocking and unbelievable that even though we live in a crowded universe, one can still find an empty room to steal away.

The empty room is Heaven’s way to lead us back to God after everything else has failed.

Occasionally, we tend to believe that being surrounded or finding ourselves in a crowd of people, all is well.

Depending on others is our natural baby instinct we inherited from our mothers. The busy world evolving around gives us a false sense of security.

I still do not understand why it takes a lifetime for a man to discover his true self. We would have been wiser and graduated right early in life if wisdom matured in tandem with puberty.

But alas, wisdom like a baobab tree takes years to settle in the belly of the earth.

The empty room. I have been walking down these rough trenches of life, searching, and hunting for who knows what.

After all these decades of sweats and pain, I still long for a day wherein I could say: finally, I made it and am satisfied and ready to die!

Even though I have spent decades inside this empty room, the road ahead still feels like light years away.

Why do I keep forgetting that my life began inside the empty womb of my Dear Mother?

How soon did I forget that I got delivered into this gigantic empty room called the Earth?

I was born and grew up in a roomful of people and got introduced into a busy world porous with people all around. I had to carefully crawl around this world filled with giants to find my balance and front views.

At conception, our lives develop and grow into the real human image. Looking in the mirror always brings us closer to ourselves.

In life, and after birth; maturing through time deceives us that we are still growing up: when in fact, the shrinkage started earlier even before we learned to speak.

The empty room reflects my current state, where I feel isolated and without meaningful connections. Incredibly, this empty room has been recording every single step I have ever taken, complete with every word uttered.

The empty room. My solitude and place of self-recovery. It is hard for people to see the need for an empty room when they believe they are still on track with their future firmly grasped within their victorious palms.

If life were all about riches, wealth, and grabbing all the material things; none of us would live to regret it. If you win or lose, no beef; that is just the way life goes!

O what a tragedy!

Rejoice, O young man in thy youth: and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into Judgement.

What's unsettling is that these immortal words came from King Solomon, who had everything.

Barns were fully stocked with supplies, accompanied by a household consisting of seven hundred wives and three hundred concubines.

The Empty Room.
